Dropped Shoulder

Why I like the dropped shoulder:

‘The shoulder line of a garment extended beyond the top of the upper arm’.

The detail is both comfortable and versatile, the garment can be worn dressing up or down to suit the occasion.

Dressing down - the dropped shoulder detail provides more room for movement and comfort.
Dressing up - the garment’s ampleness gives it a cloak-like elegance.
Dressing either way - it is flattering to most body types.

The straight shoulder/sleeve line also results in less wastage of cloth which matters greatly where garments are made to order and cutting layouts can not be optimised.

P.S. The folded garment will have fold lines parallel to the shoulder line which is also very pleasing ;)
